Noise reduction – iOS

Open open an existing or record record1 a new file.

If too much noise is in the record, you can reduce it.
Tap on Effects effects and in the menu on “Noise reduction”.

Now you see the dialog for noise reduction.
Tap on Play play1 to hear the sound with the activated filter. Deactivate the Preview checkbox while the playing to compare the originalsound with the filtered.
To suppress more of the noise sound, you can increase the Threshold.
With the “Cut off frequency” you can suppress the typical hight frequency noise.

Tap on Apply. Now you see in the silent areas the effect of the noise reduction.

Define a selection – iOS

Open open a file or create record1 a new record.

Move the left selector selection1 to the desired start position.

Move the right selector selection1 to the desired end position.

Press Play play1and Stop stop1.   Tap on Zoom in zoomin to preview and adjust your selection.

Press Zoom in zoominto adjust your selection more precise.

Copy a part of a song from one to an other file – iOS

Define a selection in your source audio file. See Define a selection

Tap on Copy copy to copy the selection to the clipbard.

Open open the destination file.

In the destination file move the selector selection1 to the position you want to insert the clipboard.

Tap on Paste paste to insert the clipboard at the position of the start selector selection1.

If you have defined a range (Start and end selector are defined) the range will replaced with the clipboard.

Trim a sound file – iOS

First define the start position. Move the start selector selection1 to the desired position. If you want to set the start position exact to the sound file start, tap two seconds on the start selector selection1 and tap in the context menu on “Set to startposition”.

Move the end selector selection1 to the desired end position.

To adjust the end of the selection more accurate, double tap before the end of the selection in the orange area to play the last part. Now you can Zoom in zoomin and move the end selector more precise.

Tap on Trim Trim to remove the area outside the selection.

Append or insert an other audio file – iOS

Open open an existing or record record1 a new file.

Tap on Import / Mix importmix and in the menu on “Import from file”.

Choose the sound file you want to append at the end of the actual file. If no start selector is defined, the sound file will append at the end.

Tap on “Open” and the file will import.

Record direct into an open sound file – iOS

Open open an existing or record record1 a new file.

Select a start position selection1 or a range with a start and end position. At this position or range the new record will insert.

Tap on Rec into selection insertRecord1 and record your audio sound.

The recorded audio sound will insert in your defined range and the old sound will overwritten.

Mix two audio files – iOS

Open open an existing or record record1 a new file.

Tap on Import / Mix importmix and in the menu on “Mixes the current file with another file”.

Choose a file and tap on Open.

In the dialog “Mix files” you can set the audio level of the current file and the imported file.
If the checkbox “Increase the selection if imported mix file is longer” is checked, the result duration will increase at the end, if the imported file is longer than the end if the current file.

Set the desired start position with the start selector selection1. It is the startpoint to mix in the second file.

Click on Play for preview to verify the startposition and the mix volumes of the two files.

Tap on “Apply” to mix the two files. You can see the mixed result between the start and end selector.

Normalize – iOS

Open open an existing or record record1 a new file.

If the audio level is too low, you can normalize the sound file to the maximal possible audio level.
Tap on Effects effects and in the menu on “Normalize”.

Now the maximal possible level, according the whole record, is applied.

Export a part of a file – iOS

This function is usefull for splitting longer files, like such as LPs, into parts of it.

Open open an existing or record record1 a new file.

Move the left and rigth selector selection1 to the desired positions.

Press Play play1and Stop stop1.   Tap on Zoom in zoomin to preview and adjust your selection.

Tap on “Import / Mix”  and “Export the selection” to export the selected aera.

Enter a name and choose the export format for the new exported file and press on “Save”.
